How to Get Here

Directions to Suwannee County Fairgrounds, Live Oak, Florida, the start and finish of the 2009 Florida Bicycle Safari.

By Car

Take Interstate 10 to exit #283 (the US 129 Live Oak exit) and proceed south on Hwy 129. Cross US 90, turn right on Hwy 136 (11th Ave.) and proceed west. After crossing SR51, look for Suwannee County Fairgrounds on the right. Immediately after Shands Hospital. Click for Google Map

By Air

We suggest that flight reservations be made into Orlando International Airport (MCO). A shuttle service will be available, by reservation only at 407-766-0279, for $95 round trip. The shuttle will leave the airport at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 17th and return thursday, April 23rd, leaving Live Oak at 1:00 pm and arriving at the airport no later than 7:00 pm.

Bicycle Shipping Information

The Safari is willing to receive and ship bicycles. For a fee, we will receive, unpack and assemble your bike(s) if you so desire. Contact Diane Blake for more information at 407-841-7981.

Recreational Vehicles

The Suwannee county Fairgrounds has a limited number of RV hookups available for a $20 fee. RV's can be accommodated at Cherry Lake Campground, however, no hookups are available. Arrangements must be made in advance with Safari personnel at 407-671-6012.
